Airsoft Protective Gear

It is important to have the appropriate equipment anytime you are playing a sport. Just as in basketball how you need a Ball, and a goal. When playing Airsoft you need the proper equipment to be able to play.

The first thing you think of is about what type of gun you need because laying the hurt down on others is always the most fun, although this is very important and the first thing anyone thinks of. But just as important is having the proper protective gear to make sure everything goes smoothly and you can enjoy the game for a long time. The most important thing you need is eye and face protection although being shot with an Airsoft bullet will sting. Having eye protection is something you can't do without when playing Airsoft because the bullet even being made out of plastic can do severe and permanent damage to the eyes. Most leagues and private fields will remove you from play if you take off your eye protection during an active game. So remember keep your face/eye protection on at all times while playing.

Another good piece of protective equipment to have while playing is gloves nothing hurts worse and will give your opponent the edge than being shot in the hand without having any type of gloves to ease the impact from the shot allowing you to shrug it off and continue firing.

There are other pieces of protective clothing such as knee, forearm and elbow pads that will really help when trying to crawl, dive and avoid shots in general. But the most important and key thing to remember is always keep your goggles or mask on at all times.
